Maiara Carey

Every year on the first of December, a miraculous transformation occurs: my wife switches from Maiara Scrooge to Maiara Carey! 😄 The moratorium on Christmas music in our house is officially over! 🎄🎶

For context, she used to work retail, and the store started playing Christmas music as early as October. No matter how much you love Christmas, anything can get annoying when you’re subjected to it non-stop without any way to avoid it. To this day, it really bothers her to hear Christmas music before December, so for her sake we keep it out of the house until the first. She appreciates it, and it seems to help her appreciate the music all the more when it’s actually time to play it!
