Ine Coatl Art Reference

Gender: Male
Species: Red-crested water lizard. Ine has a mix of reptile species in his family tree, including plumed basilisk, Chinese water dragon, and other water loving lizards. But he also has some avian ancestry, which is where he gets the feathers on his head and the tip of his tail.
Personality: Smart, and a bit on the nerdy side. Self-conscious, and sometimes overly sensitive. Introverted, but still cares about people, especially friends and family. Hard worker, and though not very athletic, enjoys some physical activity, especially swimming. Very religious; participates actively in his church.
History: Ine was born in Utah and lived there nearly his whole life. He was raised LDS and when he was 19 he served a two year religious mission in Argentina. Upon returning, he started college in Provo, Utah where he’s now studying computer science and math. He hopes to be a video game developer one day.The first art reference I ever made of my main ‘sona, Ine! Ine is my first ‘sona, and his personality and interests match my own very closely. I made Ine one of the main characters in my webcomic, Aww, Feathers! (and tried really hard not to make him a Mary-Sue!) and many of his experiences in the early chapters of the comic are similar to my own in college. As the story has progressed however, Ine has more and more become his own character in the comic. In addition, I found it useful to use a different ‘sona to represent myself as a comic creator and artist, which is why I eventually created Lark. I still go by Ine among my friends, and I even have an Ine suit that I wear at furry conventions. And I’ll interact with others as Ine in casual settings. You could say I use Lark for business and Ine for fun! 😊
Wow, this thing is ten years old! I am working on an updated ref sheet for Ine, but overall, I’m pretty pleased with how well this one has held up over the years. His design has changed slightly with time, but in relatively small ways. This is still a good representation for him.
