Anthro lizard tail attempt

This is just a quick sketch; I’m trying to get the tail to look right when viewed from behind, especially where the tail connects to the rest of the body. To me I think it looks a little flat. I think maybe some shading and a few extra lines might solve it, but I’m not sure where to put them and haven’t had much luck finding references. I think that maybe it should be a bit thicker… what do you think? Any suggestions or even redlines would be a great help!
