Hi, I’m Lark!

I’m a programmer by trade, artist and storyteller by choice! I started taking drawing more seriously in college, and around the same time I discovered the furry fandom, and my my already healthy imagination suddenly had new fertile ground in which to develop, and new tools with which to manifest! While my family and day job are top priorities, I still make time to draw and write, which are nurturing for my soul.

What I Do

I primarily work in digital art. I’ve taken art commissions off and on, but also do plenty of personal artwork, and also love to surprise my friends with art of their characters. I also made my own webcomic, Aww, Feathers! which I started over ten years ago. During that time it’s had periods during which it’s been put on pause, but I’ve made over 200 pages for it. It’s a very personal project, and I’m very proud of the work I put into it.

This Site

While some of the projects I’ve worked on over the years have their own dedicated websites, I wanted to collect all of my other work (as well as artwork I’ve received from others) and showcase it in a place that I personally own and control. Social media and art gallery platforms come and go, so this site will serve as a home base where my stuff can live, regardless of whatever else is happening online.

This site functions like a blog, and visiting the main Blog archive will show you all posts in chronilogical order, starting with the most recent. But posts are also divided into several main categories:

  • My Art — artwork that I have made that doesn’t belong to any of my main art projects (like Aww, Feathers!, Sour Peppers, etc.)
  • Guest Art - artwork made by others, either that I’ve commissioned or that feature my characters
  • News — announcements about upcoming events, interesting insights about the creation process, or personal updates about my life
  • Reviews — my honest thoughts on comics, movies, games, and other media that I’ve enjoyed and want others to see

This site has several features to make it easier to browse or find what you’re looking for:

  • Tags - every post contains tags that, when clicked, will show a list of all other posts containing the same tag
  • Artist - art by other artists contain a special tag that will show all posts by that artist, as well as a link to their own website (if available)
  • Search - there’s a search bar at the top of the site that will search titles, tags, and text for every post on the site and display matching posts
  • Random - at the top of each category and the bottom of each post is a button that will take you to a random post within that category; great for stumbling upon old pieces that might have been forgotten
